Product Description

This is a part used in the sea vessel components, sea and fresh water heat exchanger system, the name is inlet and outlet water chamber.

ZCuSn12 is the raw material used to make tin bronze, a non-ferrous metal alloy that has the least degree of shrinkage during casting, which makes it perfect for castings with complex patterns and sharp features. Tin bronze is widely used in steam boilers and on sections of seagoing ships due to its resistance to corrosion in steam, freshwater, the environment, and seawater.

Product Features

1. Strict Process Controls: Due to the sealing requirements of this product, there are strict control requirements for the casting process.

2. Fluidity Challenges: When cast, copper melts at a lower melting point than steel and liquefies with a rather good degree of fluidity. But doing so could easily cause the liquid metal in the mold to flow unevenly.

3. Oxidation Risks: Copper during the casting process might quickly lead to oxidation problems.

These characteristics explain the low certification rate of copper precision casting.

From the receipt of the project, our technical team worked night and day to overcome the difficulties, and through continuous optimisation of the pouring system, control of pouring temperature and flow rate, the project was finally developed successfully and formed into mass production.

Our company has a great deal of experience in the field of copper casting because this product has been in steady supply for 11 years and has been in mass production since 2013;

Our company has a strong technical development team, with the development of precision casting of various shaped parts in the field of ability, and to provide integrated services from casting to machining, striving for excellence, to provide customers with efficient, high-quality products and services has always been our adhering to the concept.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the application of this inlet and outlet water chamber?

This chamber is designed specifically for marine use, acting as a critical component in sea vessel systems, particularly within sea and fresh water heat exchanger systems.

Why is ZCuSn12 material selected for this marine component?

ZCuSn12 is a tin bronze alloy that exhibits minimal shrinkage during the casting process, making it ideal for casting complex and highly detailed shapes. Additionally, it offers exceptional resistance to corrosion in steam, freshwater, seawater, and harsh marine environments.

What makes copper precision casting challenging for this product?

The challenges include strict sealing requirements and high fluidity when copper is melted (which can lead to uneven flow within the mold). Copper is also highly susceptible to rapid oxidation during casting, which historically leads to lower certification rates.

How did your team resolve the casting difficulties?

Our technical team overcame these obstacles by continuously optimizing the pouring system, and carefully controlling both the pouring temperatures and the flow rates to achieve stable mass production.

How long has this product been in production?

We have been mass-producing this specific product since 2013, maintaining a steady and reliable supply for over 11 years.

Do you provide machining services along with casting?

Yes, our company provides fully integrated services, handling everything from the initial precision casting of complex copper shapes to the final machining phase.
