What is investment casting?

Investment casting technology, also known as precision casting or lost wax casting, usually involves coating the surface of a wax pattern with several layers of refractory material.

After it hardens and dries, the wax pattern is melted away to form a mold shell. The liquid metal material is then poured into the shell. After cooling, it is solidified to obtain the desired cast parts.

2.CT6-CT8 is our general casting tolerance.

Many data show that the tolerance of investment casting is CT4-CT6,does this mean our casting ability is not good enough? Not really. Based on our past 20 years of casting experience, CT4 dimension tolerance normally can be achieved in some smaller size castings or part position of castings. Therefore, we need to analyze based on the drawing you provided rather than simply saying that we can do CT4-CT6 casting tolerance.

2.At Pingheng Machinery foundry, the minimum wall thickness of the casting part we can make is 2.5-3mm.

3.The weight range of precision investment castings we can produce is 0.01KG-100KG (0.022 pound-220 pound).
